It’s funny and smart and full of great tips on how to avoid allowing the rude people of the world to get the better of you…Take my advice: do not talk on your cell phone within earshot of this woman…

On audio, I’m reading A VISIT FROM THE GOON SQUAD. I was thrilled when I went to the library to look for a book on tape and found this book there. Felt like I’d hit the jackpot! So far, I’m finding it very involving, and I’m really loving the voice of Roxana Ortega.

On paper, I’m reading an advance reading copy of SECRETS AT SEA by Richard Peck. Full disclosure: he’s a friend of mine. But I would love this book anyway! It’s a rollicking adventure of a royal family of mice, and I’m laughing and cheering with every turn of the page…

On audio, I’m listening to THIS SIDE OF PARADISE by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and am enjoying the voice of the character, Amory Blaine, so naive and full of himself and insecure all at the same time. A lot is being added by the actor reading the story, Dick Hill, who is fabulous at capturing all the different voices!

On digital, I am reading…nothing.

On audio, I’m listening to Sophie Ward reading The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham. It’s wonderful. And so racy for 1925! Living inside Kitty’s head, it becomes all too easy to see how people delude themselves.
