And here’s some news that made my day: What My Girlfriend Doesn’t Know was chosen by Booklist as a Top Ten Romance of 2007! It was also voted a Quick Pick by the American Library Association, and it was chosen a New York Public Library Book For the Teen Age. Go Big Apple!
More in the great news department: One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies was voted a Popular Paperback by the American Library Association!
And guess what? I just found out that What My Mother Doesn’t Know is going to be recorded for an audio version by the fabulous Brilliance Audio company. I’m a huge fan of audio books, so I’m really excited about this. I can’t wait to hear Sophie’s voice!

And speaking of Sophie, the most amazing thing happened a few weeks ago—I received an email from a woman who said she was the mother of the girl whose face is on the paperback edition of the book. Her mom told me that her name is Lia, and she sent me a picture of how she looks now. Isn’t she beautiful? She was about fifteen years old when the photo on the cover was taken, and now she’s in her twenties, working as a senior financial analyst. Thanks for sharing your sparkly mischievous eyes with me and all my readers, Lia!
